Though most of my paintings come from my imagination, I was inspired to become an artist by a gift that I received a few years ago. My friend Maria, who lives in Montreal, Quebec gave me an oil painting that she had done and I remember thinking that I would love to be able to paint like that some day.
During 2005, I retired from my career in the financial industry and that gave me more time to pursue other interests, such as art. I decided to try my hand at painting with acrylics and I found that I really enjoyed creating pictures. Second only to gardening, painting has become my major passion.
I have been helped greatly by the support that I have received from my husband George, my brothers Wallace and Robert, my nephew Phillip (who also paints), my long-time friend Vicki, and from Esther who is one of my former co-workers in the financial field.
I dedicate my work to the memory of my parents, the late, Mr. & Mrs. Wallace Branche Sr.
